My friends and I planned for this short trip to Bangkok and of course, you'll be thinking WHY ONLY THREE DAYS?! It was definitely a very rushed trip and I wished I had more time there but it's okay, we'll visit again some day. Since we were only there for three days, we had to make the most out of it.
My friends and I (Shalinn and Yiling, cheers to you two) had a meeting before the trip just to plan out our itinerary in case we get lost there and also fully optimize our entire time there. So *takes deep breath* here goes!
Little did I know that there's app/websites for you to actually plan out your itinerary in the most professional way, where you can easily do it by just clicking in the destination and they'll generate it out for you. Some websites to consider are like Google Trip and also Visit a City. We used Visit a City for this.
Got to the airport at 3am because our flight is early in the morning. Thanks Devinchi, Jason, Devinchi's parents for sending us.

Day 1
When we reached Bangkok it was about 9, and journey to hotel takes about 40 minutes. We were told that we can only check in at 11am, so we walked about the streets to see if we can get any street food by chance.
We stayed at Siam Swana Hotel, and our hotel room is absolutely heaven. We booked it through the Air Asia app when my friend booked the tickets and paid along with the hotel room.
The location of the hotel is super convenient and near to most places that we planned (well, because we followed the flow of our itinerary) Best part is there are stalls right out the hotel, pork satay, thai noodles, coconut drink, etc. 7 eleven is just walking distance as well.. like 5 minutes walk.
After checking in, we started of shopping at Platinum Mall. So in our itinerary, we were suppose to shop there for about 2 hours and then move to Pratunam. Either one. But we spent most of our day in Platinum Mall without realizing sooo yeap, shopping is definitely contagious for girls. Good thing I was able to refrain from shopping and only got myself one jacket *pats self* while the guys gave up and went somewhere else to sit and wait for us to finish.
We were too tired to walk but we still did anyway, for our next destination on list. However, the cafe that we wanted to go was toooo pricey for us travelling in budget. Hence the only bonus that we added steps to our FitBit :3
The guys gave up, and brought our shopping bags back to the hotel, while three of us continued shopping at Big C. The Big C that I went to has Naraya, it's like killing two birds with one stone. My sister is obsessed with the rabbit patterns hence I just kept going back to get them. Naraya is definitely cheaper in Thailand so if you want some good deals on bags, wallets, etc, do visit the Naraya there.
We pretty much showed some mercy in Big C. It was really crowded and our minds were pretty blank, wanting to get most snacks that we don't even eat. But I really love Betagen and Lays, so we gotta have them all! Pocky is always on sales there, don't miss out if you're a Pocky freak like me. After that we just sat Tuk Tuk back because we were really exhausted from walking, and #girlpower Shalinn just bargained for us girls to get the cheapest price on the ride home. I'm not sure if it's true, but the guys that sat TukTuk back to my hotel costed 220 baht while us girls were 120 baht. Make sure you try to bargain first as some might charge higher than usual.
One mini mini part of Naraya
Near to our hotel, there's a drinking place with a few restaurants for you to choose. We headed there for awhile to chill but it was too crowded (probably it's the weekend, thats why) hence we just bought more food from 7 eleven and chilled in our hotel room.
I freaking love Betagen and sour cream Lays.
Day 2
Have I mentioned that I love 7 eleven food here? Yep, I love the 7 eleven in Bangkok. They have everything, and my favourite is gotta be their toast. *internally crying craving for them now*
We bought them and brought it back to the hotel before starting our day. It's crazy how we sacrifice our sleep for more shopping too by the way. If you ever try out 7 eleven's food there, do consider their minced pork with basil leaves, served with rice!
Another favourite toast of mine.
Oh ya, try out their pork satay. Mostly available on the streets. Price range 10 baht - 25 baht.
IT'S SUPER GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.
First agenda of the day, Eve and Boy.
It's a very typical Thailand's makeup drugstore that you have to visit. Make sure you do your homework before visiting because you can get the most out of it if you know which to buy and look for!
I love how their makeup comes in sachets form for certain brands where you can buy those to try a few times before committing to the normal sized products. I bought a few for myself to try out, which I'll most probably put it up in a different blog post/ video. If you're looking for mini gifts for your friends, these would be perfect.
They have eyeshadows, bb creams, lip creams.
They have a lot of limited edition products there too, and some products that aren't available in Malaysia for the time being yet. Hence shop away since it's your rare opportunity *throws cash like confetti*
Seoulcial Club
This is one of the cafe that we had in our itinerary, as we were told that their milk tea is friggin' awesome, and also a nice place to take pictures at. It's actually very easy to spot the cafe and the walkway is wide. There was a line when we were there and the spot that I wanted to take pictures at were occupied by other customers. So we gotta make do ;
Other than that, the milk tea is indeed super yummy! I ain't bias because I like milk tea, but definitely tastes good and the pearls are chewy. I usually prefer milk tea without the pearls but this is worth trying.:)
Another cafe that was nearby that area, Mermaid Cafe. We went through the back door but you'll see alot of nice stores at the backlane. We saw a shop that sells Thailand school uniforms and I bought a set for myself. #dontaskmewhy #ijustdiditanyway
Mermaid Cafe looks pretty normal from the outside, but it's few floors up so don't judge it by its... first floor? The first two floors are placed with clothes that they sell, then the next two floors are cafe with cute decors for you to take insta-worthy pictures.
Three of us shared a cute Thai milk tea drink, but we didn't really enjoy it. However, we enjoyed taking pictures with the mermaid tails they provided and a mermaid space. But it's pretty pricey for a drink.
Am I a mermaid yet.
The broth is rich and we definitely enjoyed that meal. We were so hungry by then already, but I would totally eat it again even if I wasn't famished.
Just random strolls and visiting stores in Siam Paragon, nothing much for us to shop since there are all filled with branded stuffs that was too much for us on budget. I did get to try Chatramue where we had some trouble finding it because the mall was too big.
Fun fact : It's not pronounced as Cha-Tra-Mu-Yeh
It's more like Cha-Ta-Muhh (Because we had a super hard time asking people too)
My friends did recommend the cold one but I ordered the hot one with less sugar since we had too much of cold stuff on that day already.
The space between Siam Square and Paragon is a perfect place to take touristy group pictures when you're there. Hence us, tourists, with the touristy picture.
Credits to a random passerby, and Devinchi for editing this.
I must say, I truly enjoyed the ArtBox in Bangkok. The clothes were cheap, special and some local designer brands are there too. The food are priced decently as well. There was a certain period of time when it was crowded but it was fine. The toilet provided is clean as well!
Only picture of the food at the market but they have pretty decent food and drinks too.
Price range is normal.
If you haven't been to a massage in Bangkok, it's like you've never visited at all.
We got back to our hotel and bathed, headed out for a massage session that we absolutely needed after walking our legs off for two days straight. We went to a massage place called Review Massage nearby our hotel. It's 200 baht per session of Thai massage, totally worth it!
Day 3
The guys were still sleeping, we girls went off to Chatuchak for our last shopping spree. In my opinion the things sold there are pretty repetitive but you can get the best offer if you know how to bargain. Best place to shop for souvenirs as well.
I got myself two thai short pants, and make sure you don't put it into the dryer because the cloth is pretty delicate. Just a remark because thats what I did and I totally regretted it. :)
Spent most morning shopping, went back to our hotel and had lunch with the guys at a restaurant nearby. It's pretty far away but it's walk-able.
The name of the shop is called P'Aor
Address : 68/51 Soi Petchaburi 5
The tomyam is FREAKING GOOD! I had one that is non-spicy, which is really good as well, and they serve a decent Thai milk tea which also, I'm craving for it right now.
We tried our best to finish every single Thai baht that we had at 7 eleven. I wished I could buy their toasts back but instead, we spent it on collagen drinks (that guys think it's a gimmicky drink) and two bottles of Betagen.
Our last adventure of Bangkok delicacy was McDonalds at the airport which we didn't managed to try, their typical pork burger. I don't find it anyhow more special though lol. We had some random mango sticky rice and some testers of Thailand kuih that we curi-curi tried.
That's pretty much on the things that we did during our trip in Bangkok. In conclusion, we lacked of sleep time but we had alot of shopping. Personally feel that it would've been better if we had more days there.
If you don't intend on buying much in Bangkok and would prefer to just chill, RM500-600 is definitely enough for you to spend. But make sure you bring an active debit card/credit card.. You know, just in case.
That is all and I hope this post helps you get an idea on how to plan your trip to Bangkok in near future!
Signing off,
Edlyn :)
